SARAH SKOLFIELD grew up in Maine and still lives there, which makes her one of the luckiest people on Earth. She’s also lucky to share her world with a husband, three children, a blind dog, and a vocal kitty. She works as a Physician Assistant in the emergency department of a community hospital. Her younger patients like it when she looks for dinosaurs in their ears.

As a writer, Sarah strives to bring joy and laughter to kids, hoping to inspire a love of reading.

 

She is a PBRisingStars 2022 mentee and PBParty 2023 finalist, as well as a member of SCBWI and Julie Hedlund’s 12 x 12 Picture Book Challenge. She has studied the craft of kidlit with the Institute for Children’s Literature and Storyteller Academy.

 

Fun fact: she is willing to drive ridiculously long distances for the chance to play field hockey. The farthest distance to date is 460 miles.
