Kellie Beggs
KELLIE BEGGS is an author and school library media specialist based in Arkansas, where she crafts heartfelt and humorous stories for both children and adults. Before earning her Master’s degree in Library Media and Information Science and becoming a children’s librarian, Kellie was an elementary classroom teacher. Her daily interactions with these littles with big hearts, boundless imagination, and bottomless energy spark endless story ideas.
Kellie is the founder and host of the PB & Kid Judges writing competition, a unique event that
allows picture book storytellers to submit to their target audience, who double as the
most honest critics—kids.
Whether she’s writing picture books or adult fiction, Kellie’s mission remains the same—to
create stories readers connect to and make them feel seen. She hopes her heartfelt stories bring healing, and her funny stories bring belly laughs—sometimes her stories have the ability to do both.
Aside from teaching and writing, Kellie enjoys life with her husband, their two grown children,
and a trio of lovable, goofy golden retrievers.
You can find out more about Kellie on her website and connect with her on Blue Sky.
