JANET L. CHRISTENSEN is an award-winning writer, speaker and encourager that loves to captivate audiences with inspiring stories. Her debut Christian picture book, Good Night, Fireflies, released from Little Lamb Books in the fall of 2019, and won awards in the 2020 Moonbeam Awards, 2020 International Book Awards, 2020 Oregon Christian Writers Cascade Awards, 2020 Angel Book Awards, and the 2020 Royal Dragonfly Book Awards. Her second picture book, Cairo’s Christmas Journey, released in October 2020, also from Little Lamb Books and was an award-winning finalist in the 2021 International Book Awards.

 

Her short stories have also won awards in the West Coast Christian Writers Goldie Awards and Oregon Christian Writers Cascade Awards, and she recently had a novel named a semi-finalist in the ACFW Genesis Awards. She has been published in Chicken Soup for the Soul and in a children's devotional book, All God’s Creatures: 60 Days of Devotions for Animal-Loving Kids, by Little Lamb Books, Fall 2021.

 

Janet is a proud member of American Christian Fiction Writers. She is a pastor’s wife that lives in western South Dakota with her husband and is the mother of two adult sons and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Sully.
