DAN LAWRENCE, PhD is Associate Professor of Writing at the University of Wisconsin - Superior. His research and writing explores the relationship between rhetoric and technology, from the ancient Greeks to digital disinformation. He grew up among the trees in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and now lives a cozy life near Lake Superior in Wisconsin with his wife and three kids. His books include Disinformed: The History of Humanity's Search for Truth from Urano World and Digital Writing: A Guide to Writing for Social Media and the Web, which is entering its second edition from Broadview Press.
